Oh crikey! This is the part where I talk about me. So here goes…

Bolton Marketing IS Mark Heywood, a freelance copywriter and direct response marketer since 1996.

I started out like many people, by rolling up my sleeves and delving into the ‘new’ Internet, and built a whole host of poorly designed websites! I picked up new skills as I needed them but instead of focussing on the ‘coolness’ of the design or the ‘geek’ coding I spent my time learning how to use the technology to actually SELL stuff…LOTS of stuff.

It was then that I discovered the awesome power of direct response copywriting and how it could be used by small businesses to make a dramatic difference to their bottom line profits.

So I decided to offer my services to family run local companies who are usually so busy running their business they simply don’t have the time to do any marketing.

I work from home. Actually, that’s not strictly true. I work from my laptop. And as many of my clients are based in Bolton, my daily commute is often a relaxing stroll in the sun(?) followed by a coffee and chat with some of the friendliest people in the friendliest town in the UK. Not a bad way to work, right?
